Village Mayor

The Chief Executive Officer of the Village in New York State is the Mayor and is elected for two years. The first authority is to preside at the meetings of the Board of Trustees. The Mayor appoints all department heads and non-elected officers and employees and the approval of Trustees is required. The Mayor may appoint the deputy Mayor and any vacancy in an elected or appointed office.
