Waterfront, website and finance/controls committees all looking for applicants. Contact Town Clerk if interested.
Town Recreation Committee is seeking applications for lifeguards and
counselors for summer program. For more details or an application
contact Town Clerk’s office at 876-3409.

STAR applications for property tax relief must be received in
the assessors office or post marked March 1st. Contact
Donna or Rochelle in the Assessors office for more details at 876-4805
Town Hall, Highway garage and Transfer Station will be closed Monday, February 18th in observance of Presidents Day.

6:50 PUBLIC HEARING
Local Law 1 of 2008 which provides for the administration and
enforcement of the NYS Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code

NEW BUSINESS

1. Adopt Local Law 1 of 2008

2. Authorize 60 day extension for bookkeeper to file Annual Update Document.

3. Update from Warren on the Comp Plan/Zoning Review.

4. Floating Docks in Rhinecliff

Whereas to conduct a proper feasibility study for floating dock per the
re-scoped DEC grant, the waterfront committee needs to engage an
engineering firm that has tidal river expertise,
Therefore be it resolved that an engineering firm with tidal river
expertise, Coastline Consulting,LLC shall be engaged to conduct a
feasibility study for the floating docks and the study shall not exceed
the amount of the grant, $25,000.

4. Whereas, the town hall could be used
more often for town sponsored, volunteer run community activities;
Whereas, these
activities could benefit seniors, adults, families, teens or
children;
Whereas, the
activities could in some small way enhance the quality of life in
Rhinebeck;
Therefore be it
resolved, that the town shall foster the use of town hall for volunteer
run social, cultural, and educational activities;
Be it further
resolved, that the volunteers who wish to use town hall for such an
activity shall completely provide for the setting up and restoring the
hall, for security, for safety, and for cleanliness;
Be it further
resolved, that no fees shall be charged for the use of the hall or for
entry into the activities;
Be it further
resolved, that compliance with all other town hall usage rules are
required, namely providing a certificate of insurance for liability up
to $1 million.

5. Whereas, local volunteer, adult residents
have expressed the desire to hold a battle of the bands for teen
age bands;
Whereas, this battle of the
bands would be of interest to the teen residents of Rhinebeck;
Whereas, t he volunteers agree to the town's terms of use;
Whereas, the volunteers
would like to hold the battle of the bands from 7:00pm to 10:00pm on
Friday, March 28, 2008;
Whereas, the volunteers would like
to begin setting up at 5:00pm and will have the hall fully restored by
11:00pm,
Therefore be it resolved, that the
Town of Rhinebeck will hold a volunteer run battle of the bands for
teen age bands on March 28, 2008 at the Town Hall.

6. Accept Recreation Director Karri Wolfe’s resignation dated January 30, 2008.

7. Increase membership of the Cemetery Committee from 5 to 6 members.
