Announcements:
Rebuilding Together Dutchess County, formerly know as XMAS in April, is beginning its 17th year of providing home repairs for low income homeowners in our county. Applications are available in the Town Clerk's office and must be filed by November 30, 2007. Please call Barb Cunningham, 876-3409 for further information.
Town Hall and the Highway Department will be closed on Friday, November 23rd, in continued observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.
The Open Space and Affordable Housing Committee will hold several forums to present the Implementation Plan, including Wednesday, Nov. 14 at Church of the Messiah (Parish Hall), from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM; Saturday, Nov. 17 at Upstate Films, 10AM to Noon; Tuesday, Nov. 27 at Village Hall from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM; and Monday, December 3 at the Beekman Arms Rotary Club Lunch from noon to 1:30 PM
The winter snow ordinance prohibiting overnite parking in the town to facilitate snow removal will be in effect from November 15 through April 15, 2008. For more details, please call the highway department at 876-6263.
Old Business:
1. Considering minor modifications to and adoption of the preliminary 2008 town budget.
2. Report from Ted Fink of GreenPlan on the status of drafting and preliminary town board review of the proposed new Zoning law to prepare for public distribution, public hearings, and the State required professional environmental review under SEQRA.
3. Considering a request from the Committee on Aging to survey local businesses to identify -- and advocate -- senior discounts for goods and services for the purpose of publicizing such discounts in the new monthly newsletter distributed in hard copy and available on the new town/village Web site..
New Business:
4. Considering an efficient transition process to inform the Supervisor-elect and in-coming town board members on the status of town initiatives, functions, legal matters, unmet needs and challenges.
Proposed Actions:
5. Appointing Theresa Chamberlain as Temporary Clerk in the bookkeeper's office at $14.00 per hour for up to 20 hours per week, as needed.
6. Appointing Rochelle Adair as permanent Assessor' Aide at $11.00 per hour for up to 20 hours per week, as needed.
7. Set date for hearing on the 2008 Hillside Fire Protection District contract
8. Authorizing the Town Bookkeeper to "re-levy" $1,211 to the Town tax bills for each of the delinquent Vanderburgh Cove Sewer District accounts, including Robert Rudolph at 21 Cover Road and Peter Lampasona at 2 Clay Court.
9. Approving regular check disbursement list.
10. Approving capital project check disbursement list.
11. Approving budget line transfers.
12. Approving minutes of October 4, 9, and 22, 2007.
