Committee Reports:
Carol reported that the Rhinecliff Waterfront Committee has applied for a grant from DEC for a feasibility study at the Rhinecliff Dock. The Saland Grant has been outstanding for considerable amount of time so a portion of the original grant will still be granted for use.
Lisa reported on school news and the riparian buffer at the mini park. The signs that were at the park were removed and tossed in the grass. Work is commencing with TU on a portion of the stream near the school and the Convienence Corner.
Sharon reported on the TTSM Park. The committee had met on July 16th and had agreed on a proposed amount of expenditures totaling approximately $650,000.00 for infrastructure to be completed in Phase 1. The plan that was presented to the Town Board on July 28th was for an approximate dollar amount of 1.8 million including the completion of a soccer field and additional parking. The Town Board was to meet with representatives of the Thomas Thompson Trust on August 1st. Phase 1, asking for Approximately $650,000.00, of the plan was to allow year round use with individual passive recreational possibilities without putting an undue financial burden on the community during the current fiscal situation statewide.
