Notice of Public Hearing

 

 

The Town of Rhinebeck Planning Board shall conduct a combined Public Hearing on Monday, April 2, 2012, at 6:35 p.m. at the Rhinebeck Town Hall, 80 East Market Street, on the below Applications by Awakened Heart Project, Inc., in the matter of the proposed adaptive reuse of the Carmelite Sister Convent located on TMP 135089-6070-00-870870 at 31 Carmel Drive within the Historic Preservation (HP-20) and Hudson River National Historic Landmark Districts and the Town's Local Waterfront Revitalization Area as a Silent Meditation Center, including associated site and building improvements: 

 

o        Application for Special Use Permit under Town Code Chapter 125, Zoning Law, Zoning Law, Article III, Section 125-20, District Schedule of Use Regulations, and Article VI, Special Use Permit Requirements, including but not limited to Section 125-68(V), Conference Center, and in consideration of related Applications for Area Variances as to reduction in minimum lot area, reduction in minimum parking setback and authorization for access from a County instead of State highway, pending in a separate proceeding before the Town Zoning Board of Appeals.

 

o        Application for Site Plan Review and Approval under Town Code Chapter 125, Zoning Law, Article III, Section 125-20, District Schedule of Use Regulations, and Article VII, Site Plan Review and Approval.

 

The Proposed Action is a Type I Action under SEQRA with the Planning Board serving as Lead Agency for coordinated environmental quality review.

 

All those having an interest in the above Applications will be given an opportunity to be heard at the combined Public Hearing and may also submit comments in writing to Joan Winne, Planning Board Clerk, not later than 12:00 noon on April 2, 2012.  The Applications may be examined prior to the Public Hearing at the Town Hall during normal business hours.
