Sub-committee to expand recreation activities

The Town Recreation Committee is interested in expanding the array of recreational activities available for adults in our community. Recreation is not just for the young…adults need fun in their lives too.

Work and family keep us busy, leaving little time for leisure, leaving little time to get to know our neighbors. Making adult recreation a year round activity will give us the opportunity to change the look of FUN for adults in Rhinebeck. Some suggestions, so far, are to have an adult Saturday swim night at the town pool in July and August; hold a dance or a Game Night at Town Hall; and closing streets and having a block party with a pot luck dinner.

To explore these ideas and others, we are forming a sub-committee to work on adult recreation. If anyone is interested in joining the sub-committee, please send an email to David Miller, DHMNY@AOL.COM

If you do not have time to join the committee but have some ideas for other adult events, please email them to David as well. All suggestions are welcome.
