Meeting Minutes

 

Present:  Bruce Washburn, Rhonda Hammond, Tom Connolly, John Imperato, David Miller, Katie Clark, Joe Kupiec and Sarah Hanaburgh

 

Meeting started at 7:00pm at Town Hall

 

New Business

  • Motion by David seconded by John to approve August 31, 2011 meeting minutes. All in favor, Rhonda will email to Katie for posting.
  • Camp & Pool - Katie is still waiting for revenues from Shelly. Pool is closed. Katie needs to get into concession stand to see what needs to be done by Stacy to close out.
  • Job Descriptions - tabled until October meeting
  • Concessions - John spoke to every business in Rhinebeck and has two people interested. They will be put on agenda first for October meeting.
  • Pavilions - tabled until October meeting
  • Budget - recommendation to use everything the same as last year
  • Basketball and Dance - Tom will speak to Willie Sanchez to see if he is interested in coaching this season. We will give a $500 allowance/pay to him. Katie advised there is interest in a zumba class for this season. The allotment for pay is $250 for the period. Registration will be November 12th for both.
  • Katie advised the school told her we would need to pay for a custodian to use their gyms. Bruce told Katie to speak to school again and advise this goes against the inter municipal agreement and that if we must pay for custodian the school will not longer be able to use our facilities for free as well. Katie will advise outcome at next meeting.
  • Camp for 2012 - All fees remain the same. Registration will be March 24th - if you register that day you must have all paperwork and 10% down. Remaining money will be due June 9th. There will be a 95 camper limit. First come first served philosophy. All other registration can be mailed to town hall and Katie will supervise.
  • Pool for 2012 - Daily fees will change from Resident 3.00 to 3.50 and Non-Resident 8.00 to 9.00. All other fees will remain the same.
  • New policy for all summer programs. There will be no refunds after first day. Went to vote - all in favor - Motion Carried.
  • Brochures - 2012 brochure must be done by mid-February.
  • Special Event Sub-Committee - David will spearhead this with Joe and Sarah. Other community members will be solicited
  • Joe will order the plastic and lights for the ice rink at the pavilion and be reimbursed by the town
  • Disc Golf - Tees are up. They still need markers, but the course is being used. We will figure out how to sell disks in the spring/summer. Bruce would like the entire committee to play the course. Everyone chose to meet on Saturday, October 29th at 11:00 at the pool to play.
  • Fields - Sand is needed for one of the fields. Bobby is aware of this and will purchase it.
  • Committee Membership - David would like to have his time renewed. Rhonda would like to also.
  • Sarah submitted an activity report detailing what she has been working on. She will email a copy to Rhonda for the records.

 

Meeting was adjourned at 9:10pm
