Regular Meeting

Town Councilman/Chairman: Bruce Washburn

Present: Tom Connolly, Rhonda Hammond (Secretary), David Miller, Henry deVries, Patti Lancto, Jason Grady and Katie Clarke

Meeting started at 7:05 at Town Hall.

NEW BUSINESS

Ø Motion made to approve May minutes. Motion approved. Rhonda will email to Barbara Cunningham.

Ø Committee welcomed Patti and Jason to the group.

Ø Pool issues - none reported as of yet. Committee decided to make ACTION item for the fall to discuss registration at the pool and cashier orientation. Katie distributed handout on all registrations. Smaller than last year but still good. Put handout in big book.

Ø Programs for Summer:

a. June 25^th band night went very well. About 100 paid and another 40 or so walked around. Not many complaints. Acoustic night will be July 18^th. Rhonda volunteered to make up flyers for promoting.

b. Films - $1,200 was approved to buy a screen and we will use the projector we already have.

c. Camp week #7. Nothing new still working on getting different ideas.

Ø BOH Attention - Pool permit is completed and at the pool. Katie spoke to Linda Krug and the camp permit is being mailed.

Ø Katie was appointed to acting recreation director by the town for the summer camp programs.

Ø After camp - working on getting counselors to stagger times to cover the after camp. ACTION item for next year - commitments of time for counselors.

Ø Town wide scavenger hunt has been scraped.

Ø Recreation system maintenance budget proposition was discussed - Bruce will send out more information for our review.

Ø Patti and Jason agreed to work on Teen programs. David discussed that other than the person wanting a triathlon no one has responded to the website for adult recreation ideas. David will have the triathlon guy send a detailed proposal.

Ø Recreation Director - Ads have gone out. The job description will remain the same as of now.

Ø Stone Church Playground - Tom will look into the cost of swings and such and make a report.

OLD BUSINESS

Ø Facilities

a. Diving Boards - Bruce advised they are on the way.

b. Pool Fence - Bruce advised up and functional.

c. Basketball Court - Henry advised this has been done and being used. There was a problem of someone using before ready and had to be fixed.

d. Fields - Tom

i. Stone Church electricity and shed completed.

ii. Fields are still being used heavily.

iii. Stone Church east acreage - Bruce will work on getting approvals for 2 small soccer fields.

Ø T- M Park Update - David advised big meeting on Monday the 30^th to discuss with town board budget. Waiting for results of that meeting to see if anything further will be done in the near future.
