Meeting Notes

MailChimp Training
* Joan and Andy will meet after the new year to train Joan on MailChimp.

Zivtech
* Rhinebeck's contract with web development vendor Zivtech will be signed by end of calendar year.
* Zivetch will do a Drupal upgrade and specific enhancements as needed.
* All past invoices have been paid. Other than a signed contract, do they need any additional information to get started? Dave will follow up with Zivetch to discuss the above, as well as to review their billing process for upcoming work.

Historic Rhinebeck Calendar
* The committee reviewed a request by the Historic Rhinebeck Calendar (www.historicrhinebeckcalendar.com) about their having their site linked to from the Rhinebeck Town & Village Government site.
* The committee would like to get additional information in order to fully assess the request, including: an explanation of what process is in place for who gets to add events to the Historic Rhinebeck calendar; what (if any) is their content control policy; and what organizations are allowed to be a part of the calendar listings.
* We suggest that someone from the Historic Rhinebeck Calendar team attend an upcoming web committee meeting so that we can review the Town/'Village site's Terms of Use and content policy statement, and to work together on a memorandum of understanding on any future linking between the sites.
* Additionally, before linking to any outside site, Town/Village site would need to provide an easily accessed disclaimer explaining that outside, third-party sites are responsible for their own content. This can be drafted with the assistance of the new board liaison to the web committee.

Site Updates
* Using Firefox as her browser instead of IE8, Joan was able to make necessary site updates.
* Andrea will add the 2010 web committee meeting schedule to the calendar by the new year.

* There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:30 PM
