Comp Plan File Improvements
Joan, Ted Fink, and Andy were working on the comp plan files, trying to improve their appearance on the site. Due to the size of the documents there are complications. Ted and the committee do not have the tools to improve.
Question for the board: Should we hire an outside consultant to help us do this with Acrobat, or should we buy Acrobat and/or whatever other tools we might need so that, if the need arises, we will be able to do this again in six months?
Andy will investigate how much the tool will cost.
Andy to follow up with Gina to see what her thoughts are on this, as well as what feedback we've had on the comp plan files as they exist on the site currently.
Disclaimer Language
Gina researched and has provided a disclaimer that covers areas not currently addressed on the site linking policy. The Web committee recommends that the board add this to the Town Web Site. We'd link to it from the policies page as well as the community links page.
Zivtech Contract
Gina has forwarded the contract to the town attorney again. Andy read through the comments from Zivech's attorney.
We will follow up with Gina to make sure this stays active so as to be able to move forward as quickly as possible.
Alternatives
Rec Director Alice provided tentative draft version of the brochure on to Joan's computer. There was a meeting of the Rec Committee and Joan will wait to see if they would like that brochure posted.
Would there be any other candidates for self-sufficiency?
Conservation Advisory Commission – possible candidate for self-sufficiency. Andy will reach out to Meg or Lisa or Raphael regarding possible interest and getting the ball rolling. He will also follow up with Joan to coordinate.
AED Map Review
Kathy has been working with Linda Forbes of The Heartsafe Initiative to get the correct information. Current info been reviewed and updated.
Landsmankill Stocking Club Fishing Content
Web site committee recommends listing the details of the annual event.
Village Web Site
Svend reports that the Village will do its own web site, and will send it out for quotes.
The web committee's concern is that it may create confusion on the part of residents seeking quick, easy-to-find information. Additionally, there is the issue of unnecessary costs, as Village residents will be paying for the same service twice.
Andy will speak with the Mayor and report back at the next meeting.
